Fl. 100 mm wide; perianth segments broadly ovate, blunt, vivid yellow with white mucro, spreading or slightly inflexed, plane, with a metallic sheen, with midrib showing, overlapping 1/3 to a 1/2 the inner segments a little narrower, sometimes with a ‘thumb’ at the margin, inflexed, a little creased and with margins slightly wavy; corona short funnel-shaped, vivid orange mouth straight, split in places and overlapping, lightly frilled, with rim crenate.
Received the Royal Horticultural Society(RHS) Award of Garden Merit(AGM) in 1995 and the award was rescinded by the RHS in 2012.
