Fl. rounded, 105 mm wide; perianth segments very broad, shouldered at base, blunt at apex, vivid yellow, spreading, plane, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping; corona funnel-shaped, smooth, darker in tone than the perianth, with mouth flared and frilled, rim flanged and dentate.
