Fl. rounded, 110mm wide; perianth segments 46mm long, roundish, very broad, truncate, yellow with slight pale mucro, spreading, plane, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half or more; the inner segments narrower, shouldered at base; corona 26mm long, funnel-shaped, red, mouth straight and lightly frilled, with rim entire. Mid-season to late.
