Fl. star-shaped, 100 mm wide; perianth and other petaloid segments in several whorls, symmetrically arranged; the two outer whorls broadly ovate, blunt, truncate, spreading, plane, with margins recurved, smooth, with midrib showing, of membranaceous substance, overlapping a quarter; the inner segments narrower, inflexed, more strongly recurved and a little creased; the inner whorls becoming shorter and more strongly inflexed towards the center; corona segments half as long as and opposite to the perianth and other petaloid segments and interspersed among them, smooth, sweetly scented.

Origin of Name

Named in honor of a lost friend and active American Daffodil Society & Oregon Daffodil Society member who lived in Oregon, Betty Jean Forester. Many people might know her from her nickname ‘B.J.’
