Perianth segments yellow; corona somewhat cylindrical, orange.

A description according to Swains of Bristol 1954 catalog: “Very valuable as one of the earliest of highly colored Daffodils, a week or more before Fortune. Like Fortune it varies in the depth of the orange color shown by the large cup. Good form.”

Origin of Name

Part of Lionel Richardson’s “World War II Battles Series”. Named after the port of Alexandria which was part of the Western Desert Campaign of World War II.
