Perianth segments cream yellow; corona scarlet-orange, frilled.

A description according to the 1955 DeJager catalog: “one of the best raised by the late Mrs. Backhouse, perianth soft creamy-white very broad, much overlapping and perfectly flat, the large expanding flat crown is 1 to 1 ½ inch across, bright scarlet throughout and does not fade in the sun, very lovely flower.
