Fl. 38 mm wide, lemon yellow; perianth segments ovate or narrowly ovate, blunt, prominently mucronate, strongly inflexed, more or less twisted, separated; corona cylindrical, sometimes slightly constricted near mouth, shallowly ribbed, with mouth widely expanded and even, rim minutely dentate and deeply notched.

Selection by Basil C. Leng (c.1956) from wild-collected N. minor from a rocky ledge in northern Spain.

Origin of Name

Basil Leng gave bulbs to his friend and traveling companion Sir Cedric Morris. Was named after Sir Cedric’s death by his protégé Beth Chatto who received permission from Mr. Leng.
