The American Daffodil Society Library contains Documents, Catalogs, and Journals about daffodils including scientific publications, newspaper articles, historical literature. The ADS has been gathering materials about daffodils over the past 60 years, and we make them available as items are scanned and permissions gained (when copyrights require it).

There is a wide range of articles: some scientific, some about miniature daffodils, some about the health of daffodils, and some about daffodils growing in their native habitats written by those who’ve searched for them over the years. You’ll find a large compilation of daffodil catalogs from growers around the world, some dating back to the late 1800s. ADS Journals dating back to the 1960’s are also available.

The set of presentations consists of PDF files of “slide” programs, videos and other appropriate media. The presentations vary widely in their intended audiences. Some are of general interest that may be shown to groups and include scripts to read to the audience; others are more specialized and intended for individual study.

Photo Shows

Located at https://photo-show.daffodilusa.org/
The ADS hosts a web site specifically for the Fall and Spring daffodil photography shows.  The decision about when to hold a photography show is determined each year.

We encourage amateur photographers to enter their daffodil related photos in various contexts.

Both a “Juried” committee of judges and the “Public” will vote on all entered photos. The judges announce their awards via ZOOM video conferencing sessions. We host the award photographs on our servers for about a month after each photography show.
We hope you will join us in the future when we announce our next Daffodil Photography Show!
