98 mm wide, vivid yellow perianth segments oblong, twisted, overlapping; inner segments twisted; corona cylindrical, smooth, deeper tone than perianth, mouth expanded, rim widely flanged and deeply notched.
F.W.Burbidge wrote in his report on the Narcissus Committee in 1899 that the raiser appeared to have been the late Mr Kendall. Burbidge added that one could only guess at its parentage: 'Maximus' x 'Emperor' say some, and 'Maximus' x 'Golden Spur' say others.
