Fl. 104 mm wide; perianth segments broadly ovate, mucronate, inflexed, somewhat creased, overlapping 1/3; cup is cylindrical, lightly ribbed, rich yellow, mouth more strongly ribbed widely expanded, with rim crenate. Resembles an earlier-flowering 'Empress' but is slower to multiply and has less substance to the perianth segments. "Absorbed" 'Mrs Harrison Weir', 'President Garfield' and 'Sir Robert Peel'. Chromosome count is 22 or 21+B.
