Comments: 

Creamy white perianth, intense fiery red cup; Fl. star-shaped; perianth segments ovate, acute, not prominently mucronate, creamy white, shaded lemon yellow at base, spreading or a little inflexed, with margins wavy and sometimes incurling, overlapping at base only; corona cup-shaped, ribbed, brilliant orange-red, with mouth straight and even, rim crenate. Parent Note: Beacon is the possible seed parent.

Cart.& Goodwin catalog of 1914 description: “creamy white perianth, intense fiery red cup”. From Rev. Joseph Jacob's book Daffodils circa 1910: “Firebrand is a small bloom, but it has one of the reddest little cups of any daffodil.” (Jacob's book was part of the “Present Day” Gardening series).
