Fl. 100 mm wide; perianth segments broadly ovate, blunt, vivid yellow with white mucro, spreading or slightly inflexed, plane, with a metallic sheen, with midrib showing, overlapping 1/3 to a 1/2 the inner segments a little narrower, sometimes with a 'thumb' at the margin, inflexed, a little creased and with margins slightly wavy; corona short funnel-shaped, vivid orange mouth straight, split in places and overlapping, lightly frilled, with rim crenate.
