Comments

Fls. 4-7 fls/stem, rounded, 50mm diameter; perianth segments 20mm long, ovate, spreading; 10mm long bowl-shaped corona, opening strong orange, becoming yellow-orange w/band of yellow at rim.

Origin of Name

In the hybridizer’s words: “I wanted Tequila Sunrise for this flower but got beaten by Harold Koopowitz for that name. Another musical association, with the Eagles being another favourite group. I settled for this name which does fit the flower as the corona colour fades as the florets mature.”
