Fl. 127 mm wide, soft clear yellow; perianth segments broadly ovate, blunt, slightly mucronate, spreading, of waxy substance, overlapping one-third; the inner segments narrower, with margins slightly wavy; corona bowl-shaped, ribbed, loosely frilled.

According to The American Horticultural Society’s 1937 issue of the The American Daffodil Year Book, Guy L. Wilson’s article “Some Modern Daffodils for Garden Decoration” states: “Of the Barrii section, St. Egwin, yet another of Mr. Williams’ productions, will undoubtedly be wanted by all when available in sufficient quantity; is great soft clear self yellow flowers of exquisite waxen quality carried on their 2 foot stems are of quite unique beauty; it is fortunately a very strong plant.”
