Fl. 101 mm wide; perianth segments broadly ovate, white, with some green at base, plane, smooth; corona cup-shaped, brilliant greenish yellow, mouth straight, wavy.

Origin of Name

The place of a tall rock outcropping looking out over a bend in the Gasconade River in Missouri. The “Portuguese” for which the point was named was actually an American Indian, who told everyone that he was from Portugal so that he could own property.
