Fl. rounded, 98mm wide; perianth segments 41mm long, very broad, blunt, spreading, plane or with margins incurved, with midrib showing, of membranaceous substance, overlapping half or more; the inner segments narrower; corona 10mm long, bowl-shaped, ribbed, mouth expanded and lobed, with rim flanged and crenate. Sweetly scented.
Named for the seaside town of North Berwick, in East Lothian, Scotland. The name “North Berwick” means North “barley farmstead”.
