Fl. star-shaped, 115mm wide; perianth segments 50mm long, lanceolate in outline, acute at apex, slightly mucronate, lemon yellow, a little inflexed, convex, strongly twisted or folded along midrib at apex, smooth and of heavy substance; corona 60mm long, cylindrical, angled, golden yellow, mouth expanded, lightly ribbed, irregularly lobed, with rim narrowly flanged and crenate. Lightly scented.

Additional information from Kate Donald of Scotland’s Croft 16  “Your Mr Snooty seems to be a “Spurceps”, i.e. a spontaneous hybrid between ‘Golden Spur’ and ‘Princeps’. Variation can be extensive.”

It was named Mr. Snooty because of its very long trumpet.
