A description according to Cotter’s 1972-73 catalog: “This variety – the first pink double raised in N.Z. – is a massive flower, yet of the utmost refinement, with thick smooth petals of tremendous substance in the out rows, these being two inches wide and almost as long; the small petals in the centre of the flower are flushed apple blossom pink, the intensity of colour varying according to the seasons Some seasons the only pink in evidence is a hint in the centre petals. Flowers are well posed on tall strong stems rising from rich blue-green foliate which stands out quite conspicuously in my planting, and the blooms are consistently of top exhibition quality This variety was raised from ‘Mrs. Wm Copeland’ x ‘Roselene’ and is proving a grand pollen and seed parent and is producing double seedlings with the same shade of clear pink – “must” for the hybridist.”

A description according to David Bell’s 1986-87 catalog: “Sometimes shows pink tinge, and a good parent of pink doubles.”
