R. van der Schoot and SonFls 4-6 per stem; perianth segments soft primrose yellow, overlapping; corona bright yellow, with a narrow band of orange at rim. Has ‘Poetaz’ in its parentage.
A description according to Daffodils, narcissus, and how to grow them as a hardy plants for cut… 1907 by Arthur Martin Kirby, “The largest yellow flowered variety. Perianth yellow; cup deep golden colour, seven to eight flowers on a stem.”
From Rev. Joseph Jacob’s book Daffodils circa 1910: “Jaune a Merveille is a yellow Poetaz, and splendid for the garden and pots. It has a delightful, spicy perfume, rather than the heavy scent of the old Polyanthus.” (Jacob’s book was part of the ‘Present Day’ Gardening series).
According to Cartridge & Goodwin catalog 1914: “soft yellow perianth, deep golden yellow eye”.
