Fl. 35-40 mm wide, golden yellow, horizontal and ascending; petal segments are narrowly lanceolate, acute brilliant yellow; cup is obese balloon-shaped, mouth is slightly wavy, rim is entire, and slightly darker in tone. Leaves are completely prostrate when mature, growing to 3-4 inches. Bulbs can have four to eight buds per bulb.
