Fl. rounded, 105mm wide; perianth segments 30mm long, yellow, with a band of white at base, spreading; corona 30mm long, cylindrical, white, with a narrow band of dark yellow at rim, mouth flared.

Named in honor of the Mr. Higgins’ mother-in-law, Marie Bozievich who liked Champagne so much that some of her grandchildren, and daughters and close friends called her Champagne Marie as one of her pet nicknames. She treated many a judge for the Washington Daffodil Society to Champagne breakfasts the day of the show.
